Hi all,

Illegal Knowledge just signed up to simultaneously host a War Made Easy Screening Party run by Brave New Theatres and Media Education Foundation, and Al Gore's global Live Earth concerts run by MoveOn.

On Saturday, July 7, 2007, and throughout the summer, thousands of us are going to get together in living rooms around the country, watch Norman Solomon's documentary "War Made Easy," and take action to end the war culture in America. We'll also hear from Al Gore and the presidential candidates, and then enjoy some great music.

You have to see the movie. If you have, you can help raise awareness to push Washington to wean itself from the suckle of the Military Industrial Complex, and direct your tax dollars toward purposes which are not destructive.

As far as Earth's climate is concerned, 7/7/07 may be the most significant day since the discovery of oil. On seven continents, millions of people will gather for Al Gore's Live Earth concerts to stop the climate crisis.

We want MoveOn members everywhere to have front row seats for this historic event, so we're throwing a "Party for the Planet." We'll hear a special message from Al Gore, tune in to the concerts, and see the presidential candidates answering your questions on the climate crisis.

Here's what MoveOn has planned for the evening:

We'll kick off on 7/7/07 at 5:30 p.m. with a barbeque or potluck with other interested folks from your neighborhood.
Then, we'll watch a special message from Al Gore.
We'll see a sneak preview of the presidential candidates answering MoveOn members' questions on global warming—part of our Virtual Town Hall on Climate.
At 8, we'll tune in to the concerts on NBC with The Police, Madonna, Dave Matthews, The Beastie Boys, and millions of other human beings.
